Pool Weather Cancellation/Closing Policy
The pool follows the same policy as ISD 508 regarding closings and cancellations. Call the Community Education Weather Information Line: 934-3048 x 4.


GENERAL POOL USE ACTIVITIES


Early Morning Lap Swim/Water Walking

Mon., Wed., & Fri., Sep. 4 – May 13, 5:45–7:15 a.m.
$4 per time or $64 for 20 punch ticket 
No swimming - Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 20, April 3, 6


Saturday Open Swim

Work out independently or bring the family for some fun in the water. 

Nov. 1 - May 9, 1:00-3:00 pm
$4 per swimmer, pay lifeguard at the pool
No swimming - Jan. 3, Apr. 4
* Please note children 7 and under must be accompanied in the water by a caregiver age 18+


Holiday Open Swim

Work out independently or bring the family for some fun in the water. 

Dec. 26 & Dec. 30, 1–3 p.m.
$4 per swimmer, pay lifeguard at the pool 


Girls Swim Days

Join us for an afternoon of fun in the pool just for girls and women. The first 30 minutes will be a large group lesson followed by 90 minutes of open swimming. This is an opportunity for women and girls to have exclusive use of the pool. Swim under the guidance of an all-female staff of lifeguards and swim instructors. 

Sundays, Jan. 11, Feb. 1, Apr. 12, & May 3, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
$4 per swimmer, pay lifeguard at the pool
*Please note girls age 7 and under must be accompanied in the water by a caregiver age 18+  


Evening Lap Swim/Water Walking

Tue. & Thu., Jan. 6th–April 28th, 7:15-9:15 p.m.
$4 per time or $64 for 20 punch ticket 


Afternoon Aqua Fit (Water Aerobics) 

Get a great cardiovascular workout in the water! Elevate your heart rate in the training zone without stress to your joints. Appropriate for all levels of fitness. Min. 6, max. 25. 

Featured Courses

  • Lifeguard Training Course

    Lifeguard Training For ages 15 years old and up, or during the course of the class. Learn all the skills required for being a lifeguard. Classes must be successfully completed, and none may be missed. This class has an online component and will be a blended learning course. Participants will be responsible for viewing 10 hours of online instruction and videos through the Red Cross website (available only through Internet Explorer). Students will be certified for 3 years upon successful completion of the rescue skills test, a CPR skills test, and a written test. Students with valid certificates are eligible to apply for open positions at area pools. If you successfully pass the Junior Lifeguarding course, you may be eligible for a full scholarship for this course. Min. 6, max. 14 Nicole Ruhland Tue., Thu., & Fri., July 7, 9, 14, 17 from 8 a.m.-1:00 p.m., $150, Register by June 22.
  • Water Safety Instruction Course

    Water Safety Instruction For ages 16 years old and up, or during the course of the class. This class has an online component and will be a blended learning course. Participants will be responsible for viewing 10 hours of online instruction and videos through the Red Cross website (available only through Internet Explorer). A sound background in all six swimming strokes is required. Classes must be successfully completed, and none may be missed. A 7-point written test and a performance test will be given. Candidates will perform several teaching presentations to the class. Certification will be granted only upon successful completion of the course. Students with valid certificates are eligible to apply for open positions at area pools. Min. 6, max. 14.
