Pool Weather Cancellation/Closing Policy: 
The pool follows the same policy as ISD 508 regarding closings and cancellations. Call the Community Education Weather Information Line: 934-3048 x 4.


GENERAL POOL USE ACTIVITIES

Early Morning Lap Swim/Water Walking

Mon., Wed., & Fri., Sep. 2–March 31, 5:45–7:15 a.m.
$5 per time or $85 for a 20-punch ticket
No swimming - Sept. 7, Oct. 16, 30, Nov. 25, 27, Dec. 23 - 31, Jan. 1, 15, 18, 25, Feb.12, Mar. 10, 26


Evening Lap Swim/Water Walking

Tue. & Thu., Jan. 5–April 1, 7:15-9:15 p.m.
$5 per time or $85 for a 20-punch ticket
No swimming - Oct. 15, Nov. 10, 26, Dec. 24-Jan. 1, March 25


Saturday Open Swim

Work out independently or bring the family for some fun in the water.
Nov. 1–May 9, 1–3 p.m.
$5 per swimmer, free for ages 0-4 when accompanied by an adult in the water. Pay the lifeguard at the pool.
No swimming - Nov. 28, Dec. 26, Jan. 2, 16, March 27

  • Please note that children 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by a caregiver age 18+. 


Girls Swim Days

Join us for an afternoon of fun in the pool just for girls and women. The first 30 minutes will be a large group lesson followed by 90 minutes of open swimming. This is an opportunity for women and girls to have exclusive use of the pool. Swim under the guidance of an all-female staff of lifeguards and swim instructors. 

Sundays, Dec. 6, Jan. 10, Feb. 7, Apr. 11, & May 2, 1–3 p.m.
$5 per swimmer, pay lifeguard at the pool.

  • Please note that girls age 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by a caregiver age 18+.

Water Safety Instruction
Lifeguard & WSI

Water Safety Instruction For ages 16 years old and up, or during the course of the class. This class has an online component and will be a blended learning course. Participants will be responsible for viewing 10 hours of online instruction and videos through the Red Cross website (available only through Internet Explorer). A sound background in all six swimming strokes is required. Classes must be successfully completed and none may be missed. A 7-point written test and a performance test will be given. Candidates will perform several teaching presentations to the class. Certification will be granted only upon successful completion of the course. Lifeguard Training
Lifeguard & WSI

Lifeguard Training For ages 15 years old and up, or during the course of the class. Learn all the skills required for being a lifeguard. Classes must be successfully completed, and none may be missed. This class has an online component and will be a blended learning course. Participants will be responsible for viewing 10 hours of online instruction and videos through the Red Cross website (available only through Internet Explorer). Students will be certified for 3 years upon successful completion of the rescue skills test, a CPR skills test, and a written test. Students with valid certificates are eligible to apply for open positions at area pools. If you successfully passed the Junior Lifeguarding course, you may be eligible for a full scholarship for this course. Water Babies / Aqua Tots
Youth Swim Lessons

Water Babies/Aqua Tots Age 6 mos.–4 yrs. Parent/Child Class. Introduction of basic skills and safety topics. Basic skills include kicking, bubble blowing, underwater exploration, bobbing, floating, and combined arm and leg actions. Children must wear a swim diaper or plastic pants with their swimsuits. A caregiver (age 18 or older) is required to be in the water with each child. Min. 4, max. 10. 8 lessons, $37.
