Virtual HUD-approved homebuyer education class
Age 16+. Examine the poetry and fiction of counterculture writer Richard Brautigan as well as adjacent music, visual art, social movements, and fellow writers like Karen Russell and WP Kinsella. Launching from Brautigan's richly imagined whimsy, the instructor will lead participants in writing wild stories, poems, broadsides, a Diggers-esque mission plan, and a poetry chapbook written on seed packets (a la Brautigan’s Please Plant This Book). All readings and materials will be provided, and some books will be given away. For writers at all levels seeking to activate imagination and write creative, tangibly weird, happy stuff in community. Min. 4, max. 8.
