WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR CHRONIC ILLNESS WITH ANN ROSENQUIST FEE
Age 18+ Do you live with a chronic condition? Does it tend to run, ruin, and/or enrich your life, depending on the day? Join writer and diabetic Ann Rosenquist Fee for a two-session workshop for writers at all levels. Participants will be invited to share about their personal chronic illness journey, then engage in some writing exercises to warm up creative muscles and begin connecting the creative process to the experience of living with a chronic condition. At the close of the first class meeting, participants will have a rough outline of their piece (and will be expected to work on/finish it in the week between sessions). The final class meeting will be devoted to sharing pieces aloud, exchanging feedback, and then recording the readings in the KMSU studio located at the Arts Center. Each participant will receive an audio file of their reading, with the option to have it included in a future KMSU broadcast devoted to living with chronic illness. Min. 2, max. 8
Sat., Oct. 4 & 11, 3-5 p.m. (two class meetings). $40. Advance registration required.
